PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Diego Caminade had his saxophone ready for the Port Chester High School's Homecoming pep rally at 8 p.m. Friday, but the weather had other plans."We found out we weren't going to play this morning," said Diego, 16, who plays tenor sax in the Port Chester High Marching Band. The pep rally, originally scheduled for Thursday, was postponed to Friday due to inclement weather, but had to be postponed again with heavy rains drenching the football field. The rally will be rescheduled for a date yet to be determined in October.
The homecoming football game is still scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The home team Rams will go up against the visiting Wolves from Gorton High School in Yonkers.Camindade said the marching band won't play if there is heavy rain, but a little drizzle shouldn't be a problem."Actually, I like playing in the rain," he said.
