Otis And Latimer Cancel Saturday Coffee In Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - The Saturday coffee with Assemblyman Steve Otis and state Sen. George Latimer is canceled because of the storm, Latimer's office announced.

A re-scheduled date has not yet been set.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the county that will remain in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday. An estimated 10-14 inches of snow is predicted.

High winds and low visibility are expected to cause dangerous driving conditions. The storm also could bring down tree limbs and power lines, according to the National Weather Service.

The strongest winds and heaviest snow are expected Friday night, when temperatures are expected to drop to the low 20s. As much as 3-7 inches of snow could accumulate during the day and another 6-10 inches at night. Winds of 15-25 mph are expected, with gusts as high as 45 mph.

Metro-North Railroad added trains for commuters Friday afternoon, but fewer will be in service Friday night.
