Mount Pleasant Observes One Year Anniversary Of Train Crash

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- The Town of Mount Pleasant along with Senator Terrence Murphy will hold a candlelight vigil to honor the memory of the six people lost during the train crash last year at a grade crossing near Valhalla, on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at Town Hall.

The event, which begins at 6 p.m., will include Murphy, Mount Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi and County Legislator Margaret Cunzio, as speakers. 

Ellen Brody of Edgemont, Eric Vandercar and Walter Liedtke of Bedford Hills, Robert Dirks and Joseph Nadol of New Castle and Aditya Tomar were killed in the crash.
