PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Traffic has been constricted Wednesday to one lane on the northbound side of Boston Post Road in Port Chester as workers from Con Edison dig up the road to investigate the source of a minor gas leak.
While the source of the gas leak is unknown, the project foreman stated the leak was not hazardous to the community.
"Usually minor leaks on the main just require routine maintenance," the project foreman said. "It's not anything to be concerned about."
The foreman confirmed the crew of three had been there since approximately 9 a.m. and plans to be there all day. Two Port Chester policeman were on hand to assist in directing traffic.
