White Plains Man, 31, Who Died In Apparent Drowning ID'd

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- New York State Police have identified the man who died in what appears to be an accidental drowning at Blue Heron Lake in Pound Ridge Thursday afternoon.

Alejandro Limon-Garcia, 31, of White Plains was servicing a water pump at a home and fell from his canoe into Blue Heron Lake shortly after 2 p.m., state police said. 

Limon-Garcia attempted to grab the canoe, but was unsuccessful. The death appears to be accidental, according to police.

Limon-Garcia was recovered from Blue Heron Lake with the assistance of the Stamford Fire Department Search and Rescue divers.
