Daily Voice has recently been publishing articles highlighting the fact that the NYS police has been issuing tickets for various offenses on the Sprain Parkway. A big thank you to both the New York State Police and to Daily Voice for reminding people that if they violate the motor vehicle law by driving unsafely that they will be ticketed. The Sprain Parkway has had numerous accidents over the years - many fatalities. This action will make this dangerous parkway safer. if motorists feel that they will be ticketed - more people will obey traffic laws and our roads will be safer.

I realize that it is impossible to have non-stop police presence on all state roads. A suggestion: the New York State Police should use digital speed boards and post the number of tickets issued recently at given locations. These digital boards --that share ticket info--will remind motorists that they could be caught. And -ticketed.

Info on the message boards would keep changing so motorists would probably pay attention to the wording.

I hope this suggestion will be considered.
