RYE BROOK, N.Y. -- Thousands of greeting cards were scattered like autumn leaves around the Hutchinson River Parkway early Wednesday, Aug. 2, when a tractor trailer slammed into an overpass, according to News 12.

According to a lohud.com report, the accident occurred around 2 a.m. at the King Street overpass in Rye Brook near the Connecticut line.

The truck’s roof was partially ripped off and the cards it was carrying flew out onto the roadway, the News 12 report said.

The driver, who was not injured, was ticketed, according to News 12.
