PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Mike and Gemma Pierro have been spending more time with their grandsons Aden and Brett Clowry during the summer.
"It's great to have them over," Mike Pierro said.
With summer winding down and the new school year approaching in September, there are fewer programs for Aden and Brett, who recently finished summer camp. But it's no problem because they get to spend more time with their grandparents.
One of the Clowry brothers' favorite activities is swimming in their grandparents pool. They've also gone to the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, Conn., and enjoyed Monday afternoon at Lion Park with an ice cream snack.
Mike has also been teaching his older grandson Aden, 8, some photography.
"He's pretty good with a camera, very artistic," he said.
For the Pierros, the summer has been a great time to spend with their grandchildren, especially thanks to the hot weather and their swimming pool.
