Con Ed Replaces Power Lines in Rye Brook

RYE BROOK, N.Y. - Workers from Con Edison have closed the southbound lane on North Ridge Street in Rye Brook just north of Crawford Park on Wednesday to replace power lines. According to Chief Linesman Mike Robson, the ten workers have been on site since Tuesday morning.

Robson confirmed that the power lines being replaced are underground, and that they plan on staying until 3 p.m. this afternoon.

The workers will return tomorrow at approximately 8 a.m. and stay until 3 p.m.. Robson also added that he believes the team will be finished with the job by Thursday. Although there are currently two workers directing traffic, there is some mild congestion so it may be best to avoid North Ridge Street if possible.
