1-2 Inches Of Rain Possible In Norwalk On Christmas Eve

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Clouds and heavy rain will threaten Fairfield County in the days leading up to Christmas, but unseasonably warm temperatures will make the holiday wet and windy instead of white, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain is likely Tuesday, mainly in the afternoon with highs near 50 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. 

Rain will be heavy at times on Christmas Eve, with up to an inch of additional precipitation possible. Temperatures will reach into the mid-50s with wind gusts up to 30 mph. 

Showers could linger in the area on the morning of Christmas Day, but the rain will eventually clear out, leaving sunny skies and a temperature of about 55 degrees. 

Sun will remain on Friday and Saturday, with temperatures in the high 40s.
