Vote For Your Favorite Rescue Pet Before Valentine's Day

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Which rescue dog or cat has your heart ❤ this Valentine’s Day? Vote today! Competition for Hearts ❤ is fierce, according to Harrison Pet Rescue volunteer Caroline Walker.

But all pet rescue dogs and cats feel loved ❤ when you vote, Walker said.

Every February, Harrison's Pet Rescue invites people to show a little extra love by clicking on the VOTE FOR ME button next to a favorite cat or dog listed under current or past adoptions on its website by clicking here:

Each vote costs $10 and people can vote as often as they like and for as many rescues as they want. Each vote is reflected with a heart next to the animal’s name and the top dog or cat will be announced on Valentine’s Day. The winner’s human or fosterer will appear on the front of the website and will get a Pet Rescue t-shirt.

The accumulation of hearts is closely watched and highly competitive – the volunteers at Pet Rescue and many adopters and fosters watch the daily tally with fascination and great excitement, according to Walker.

Also, Pet Rescue lovers are invited to join other animal lovers at Pet Rescue’s Tails of the Heart Gala on Friday March 4 at The Fountainhead, 55 Quaker Ridge Road in New Rochelle. For tickets visit the website at www.ny-petrescue.org or to donate an item by emailing Tamara at gala@ny-petrescue.org.

Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization founded in 1982, whose mission is to aid homeless and abused cats and dogs, provide necessary medical care and find them loving, forever homes. Pet Rescue has rescued more than 15,000 animals.
