Programming is slated to begin Tuesday, Sept. 8.

“We have recruited world-class coaching and provided top equipment to deliver the best possible service for this new location,” said Howard Winklevoss, founder of RowAmerica. “We are excited to bring competitive rowing to Greenwich. Our goal is simple – to be the best rowing club in the country and bring a national-level trophy home within our first five years.”

“The sport of rowing offers the most lucrative opportunities for collegiate scholarships, but athletes must be adequately prepared to meet the challenge of athletics at the highly competitive NCAA level," said Dave Dickison, president of RowAmerica Clubs. "RowAmerica has had great success in transforming youth and enabling them to realize their true potential as athletes, and our new coaching staff at RowAmerica Greenwich embraces this challenge wholeheartedly.”

Plans to create a full-service boathouse are in the works. Programming will continue throughout all phases of construction.
