Port Chester's Lund Dies at 74

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Marie "Stella" Lund, a retired secretary of Port Chester, died Nov. 14 at the age of 74.

She was born Jan. 4, 1937 in Port Chester to the late Samuel and Jeannette Caputo Agostino. Raised and educated in Rye, she graduated from Rye High School in 1954. On Oct. 12, 1958, she married Carl E. Lund at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. He predeceased her in 1997.

Lund worked as a secretary for Port Chester Public Schools since 1955 and retired in 2001. A parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church, she was an avid fan of the NY Jets and NY Mets and "all things Port Chester." Her fondest memories were vacationing with her family and friends in Rhode Island.

Lund is survived by her sons Eric (Ives) Lund of Mohegan Lake, her daughters Jeannine (Aldo) Lombardo of Jupiter, Fla., Dawn (Anthony) Frisaura of Port Chester, Allyson (Marc) Larossa of Greenwich, Conn. and Paige (Frank) Sielo of Port Chester, her brother Samuel Agostino of New York City and eleven grandchildren.

Visitation was on Sunday at Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Our Lady of Mercy Church, followed by a private interment.
