PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Ann Donato, a retired secretary and lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Nov. 9. She was 93.
She was born on Mar. 12, 1918 in Port Chester to the late Bartolo and Armena Selerno Marturano. She attended local schools, graduating from Port Chester High School. On Jun. 8, 1946, she married Victor Donato at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester.
A former secretary, she retired from Panob Corporation in Port Chester. Mrs. Donato was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church and former president and board member of St. Ann's Sodality, where she'd participate in many fundraisers.
An avid New York Yankees fan and puzzle maker, she also enjoyed visiting with her great-granddaughters.
She is survived by her son Victor Donato, Jr. and his wife Nanci, two grandsons and two great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband Victor in 2002 and his sister Mary Giorgi.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Rosary Church, followed by entombment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northern Westchester Hospice Association.
