Marie Niedziaklek, 92, Formerly of Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Marie J. Niedziaklek, 92, a former longtime resident of Port Chester, died Sunday, April 15.

She was born Sept. 9, 1919, in Nanicoke, Pa., to Anthony and Johanna Stefanowski. She was the widow of Edward Niedziaklek, who predeceased her in 1987. Marie Niedziaklek was a retired candy maker for Lifesavers Corp. in Port Chester.

She is survived by three daughters, Theresa Powers of Port Chester, Mary Shepard of Alameda, Calif., and JoAnn DeCarlo of Fairfield, Conn.; a sister, Lillian Hansen of Florida; and two grandsons.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich, Conn.
