Westchester Man Still Alive In 'Jeopardy!' Champions Tourney

If he wants to be the ultimate "Jeopardy!" champion, the Hudson Valley's own Austin Rogers has some catching up to do.

Rogers, a Pound Ridge native, is competing in the finals of the "Jeopardy!" Tournament of Champions, a two-night event. After the first night, Rogers who graduate from Fox Lane High School, trails Alan Lin, $8,800 to $6,500.

Going into "Final Jeopardy!" Rogers trailed Lin $14,400 to $10,000. He led after single "Jeopardy!" with $4,800. The winner of the "Jeopardy!" Tournament of Champions receives $250,000.

The "Final Jeopardy!" clue was: When Time Magazine named it Invention of the Year in 2007, it was described as too slow, too big, pretty & touchy-feely

The correct answer was "What is the iPhone?" Rogers initially wrote iPhone but crossed it out and put iPad, costing him $3,500. The other two contestants got the question wrong.

The "Jeopardy!" champion, had become a national sensation during his time on the show for his outfits, antics, and hatred of the band, Eagles.
