Bob Weir Cancels Next Performance After Collapsing At Capitol Theatre

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Further, the band formed by the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir, has canceled its next show after Weir collapsed last week while performing at Port Chester's Capitol Theatre.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Furthur regretfully will be unable to appear as scheduled at BottleRock Napa Valley on Thursday, May 9. Grateful Dead & Furthur Co-Founder Bob Weir, is unable to perform for the next several weeks," an announcement on Weir's website read. "Bob looks forward to resuming his "Weir Here" broadcasts from TRI Studios in mid to late June and performing his Solo acoustic shows June 26-30."

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Weir fell and crashed into lead guitarist John Kadlecik during an April 25. The concert was the last of nine dates for Furthur at the Capitol Theatre.
