Deputy uses his nylon-stringed guitar and an array of microphones and technology to turn himself into a one-man dance party. He combines the music of his Puerto Rican, Cruzan and Irish heritage to create a blend of calypso, rhythm and blues, and soul. The South Carolina native's performances are improvisations based on compositions, and incorporate stunning light shows, live looping and his cheery disposition.
Deputy will perform at Garcia's at 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 26. Tickets for the show are $15.
