PORT CHESTER – Port Chester and Rye Brook residents will have to wait until after Presidents Day to handle government matters, since village halls will be closed Monday.
Port Chester schools also are closed Monday, in addition to Friday, except for Port Chester Middle School, which has a half-day on Friday.
In Rye Brook, Blind Brook schools are closed all week for winter recess.
Regular Port Chester garbage pickup remains in effect.
In Rye Brook, Monday's garbage pickup will be on Tuesday. All Tuesday garbage collections will be made Wednesday. Garbage collection Thursday and Friday will remain the same.
No bulk collection or green waste collection will be done until next week.
