RYE, NY - The Rye Free Reading Room is offering two programs at 3:30 p.m. this Friday geared towards teens and "big kids".
The Reading Room's Fun Club, which meets every other Friday, offers stories, crafts, and movies for "big kids" (ages 5 and up). This week's program is entitled "Long Night Moon" and promises to teach children "about the names of the full moons and listen to stories for a long winters night". Participants will also make their own moon craft.
Also on Friday is the Reading Room's "Christmas Crafts for Teens" with Square House Museum's Jennifer Plick. Plick, Rye Historical Society's Education curator, will show participants how to make ornaments out of dried leaves and herbs.
