PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Rich Bobinski Orchestra will perform at a free concert at Lyon Park in Port Chester Friday night.
The eight-person band specializes in polka music, but also integrates waltzes, show music and big band music. They perform upbeat tempos incorporating trumpets, clarinets, saxophones, accordion, violin, bass and drums. Bobinski passed away in 2001, but the band has continued to carry on his legacy, performing shows throughout New York, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey and New Hampshire.
The performance is hosted by Port Chester Recreation as part of its summer concert series. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and go until 9 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
