Port Chester's Clay Art Center Plans Artist-in-Residence Exhibits

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Clay Art Center will present two consecutive solo exhibitions featuring works made at Clay Art Center in Port Chester during the yearlong residencies of Matthew Smith and Kelley Donahue.

The exhibition by 2014-15 artist-in-residence Matthew Smith, "My Name is Nobody," runs July 11-28, with an opening reception on Saturday from 6-8 p.m.

The exhibition by 2014-15 Barbara Rittenberg Memorial Fellow Kelley Donahue, "There’s No Such Thing as the Future," will run from Aug. 4 to Sept. 12, with an opening reception on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 6-8 p.m.

Admission to the gallery and the shop at CAC, featuring one-of-a kind handmade pottery and sculpture, is free.

Clay Art Center is a not-for-profit ceramic art organization offering exhibitions, clay classes for adults and children, studio spaces for clay artists and outreach programs in the community.

CAC is at 40 Beech St. Gallery and shop hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or by appointment.
