Strand will lead an interactive presentation for students, followed by hands-on ceramics workshops in which students will capture their handprints and their elbows in "el-bowls."

Clay Art Center teaching artists and National Art Honor Society members will invite students to share family recipes and stories of cultural heritage for the event. They will also complete a clay challenge through a web app created for the project.

The Port Chester: Melting Pot(s) project aims to unite local cultural communities and engage more than 3,000 residents in the creation of art.
