Port Chester Schools To Host 70th Band Night For Alumni

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Port Chester school district's department of music will host its 70th annual Band Night with a weekend of events for band alumni Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7.

A tentative schedule of the weekend is below.

Friday, June 6: 4:30 p.m. -- Initial alumni registration at Port Chester Middle School. 5:30 p.m. -- Alumni concert band rehearsal (mandatory for concert band participants), PCMS. 5:30 p.m. -- Alumni jazz band rehearsal (mandatory for jazz band participants), PCMS. 5:30 p.m. -- Optional sectional rehearsals for alumni marching band participants (brass, woodwind, percussion, color guard), PCMS. 7 p.m. - Evening reception at The Beach, Rye Town Park

Saturday, June 7: 9:30 a.m. -- Alumni registration continues at PCMS. 10 to 11:30 a.m. -- Final rehearsals for alumni concert band and alumni jazz band, PCMS. 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Lunch on your own - many options nearby. Noon -- Blue Key memorabilia on display at PCMS. 1 p.m. -- Alumni concert band/jazz band performance at PCMS. 3:30 p.m. -- Final alumni registration begins at Port Chester High School. 4 p.m. -- Alumni marching band sectional and group practice at PCHS. 4:30 to 9 p.m. -- Band night barbecue (fundraiser to benefit PCHS band). 7 p.m. -- Band night performance.

9 p.m. -- Band night after-party at Westchester Burger Co. in Rye Brook.

A rain date for the band performance is set for Sunday, June 8.
