PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Port Chester-Rye Brook Library is hosting a workshop on tobacco.
The event is part of the library's "series of programs promoting health, wellness and parenting topics," according to a press release. The tobacco workshop program will be presented in collaboration with Open Door Family Medical Center at 7 p.m., Nov. 18, according to the release.
"Tobacco is one of the most addictive substances, and unfortunately, it is very prevalent in the community," representatives said in the release. "This workshop will display the Photovoice project created by Port Chester High School students in July 2013 to address the issue of tobacco use, and will feature a discussion about how to talk to your child about the risks of smoking."
To sign up for the program, residents are asked to call 914-939-6710, ext103.
