PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library is set to host several new programs promoting health, wellness and parenting.

The programs are part of a collaboration with Open Door Family Medical Center.

The next program, "Is That Food or Medicine?" starts at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16.

"Have you ever accidentally cleaned with the wrong chemical or swallowed some shampoo by mistake? This workshop will review commonly found poisonous chemicals in the home and what to do if you accidentally swallow or expose your skin to a dangerous chemical," representatives said in a notice.

"This workshop is critical for parents of young children or for families that have both grandparents and children living in the household."

To sign up for the program, call 914-939-6710, ext.103.
