PORT CHESTER, N.Y. --  The Senior Benefits Information Center, at the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library, helps seniors connect to Medicare benefits and Government services.

Senior Benefits Information Centers (SBICs) help adults age 55 and over and those caring for the elderly achieve a better understanding of Medicare health plans and prescription drug coverage. Information is provided about different types of government benefits such as:

  • Medicare
  • Part D prescription drug coverage
  • Medicare savings plans for low-income seniors
  • HEAP, food stamps and other benefit programs

The Senior Benefits Information Center is at the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library's Wein Meeting Room, 2nd Floor.,1 Haseco Ave. Counselors are available Thursdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Please bring Medicare card as well as any other insurance card or call (914) 269-7131.

SBIC is a partnership of the Westchester Library System, Medicare Rights Center and Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services. SBIC is funded by the U. S. Dept. of Health and Human Services and the N.Y. State Office for Aging.
