Port Chester Council for the Arts Stages 'Annie Jr.'

RYE, N.Y. -- A dual cast of 87 kids will perform "Annie, Jr." Friday and Saturday as part of the Port Chester Council for the Arts' 32nd Summer Theatre season.

The Children's Theatre adaptation of the popular Broadway play tells the story of little orphan Annie, who goes to live with the billionaire Oliver Warbucks in 1930s New York. The show features popular music numbers such as "Hard Knock Life," "Tomorrow" and "I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here." The show is directed by Julie Colangelo with musical direction by Cindy Moore. Christina Ledesma of Rye Brook stars as Annie.

The performances will be held at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Rye Country Day School, 3 Grandview Ave. Each cast will perform one matinee and one evening show. Tickets are $12 for the general public, and $10 for seniors and children under 12.
