The event will take place in the Butcher Suite in the Kessel Student Center, 861 Bedford Road in Pleasantville, entrance 3.
The forum will include a discussion of hurdles to moving beyond fossil fuels, both technical and political and what innovations are most likely to surmount those obstacles as well as explore the role of government, business and citizens.
Panelists include Karl R. Rabago, Pace Energy and Climate Center and Mark Z. Jacobson, Stanford University, The Solutions Project.
The forum will be moderated by Pace University Senior Fellow and New York Times Dot Earth blogger Andrew Revkin.
The forum is part of the Generation Energy, or Gen En Campaign, of the Pace Academy of Applied Environmental Studies at Pace University that seeks to explore building the pillars of a clean and efficient energy future around the environment, entrepreneurship and engagement.
The Pace Academy of Applied Environmental Studies, through events like this and its environmental policy clinic at Pace, seeks to not only discuss moving beyond fossil fuels to a zero-carbon energy menu for the Empire State, but help train future leaders to take the steps that could achieve this transition.
The event is free and open to the public. Follow the discussion on Twitter with hashtag #EnergyPace.
The 23rd Bioethics Forum is co-sponsored by Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society and Pace Academy for Applied Environmental Studies’ Gen En Campaign.
