The chances of winning? One in 292.2 million, Drucker said.

“We always recommend folks play to win, so buy tickets with the Power Play Multiplier option,” Drucker said. “It will increase the non-jackpot and second-tier prizes by a multiplier number, which goes up to 10.”

The dollar amount of the sales across all participating lotteries — 47 in North America — is what determines what the jackpot amount is increase to, Drucker said.

Therefor, if there is a large number of sales, the potential for the jackpot to increase exists, the reprsentative said.

The odds of winning any prize is one in 24.9, “which is pretty good,” Drucker said.
