God Street Wine first formed in 1988 in New York and has played alongside bands such as the Black Crowes, Dave Matthews Band, Blues Traveler and the Spin Doctors. The band features Lo Faber on lead vocals and guitar, Aaron Maxwell on lead vocals and guitar, Dan Pifer on bass, Jon Bevo on keyboards and Tom "Tomo" Osander on drums.
John K Band was formed by John Kadlecik, a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Kadlecik is a member of Furthur, a band formed by the Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, and is the co-founder of Dark Star Orchestra, a band devoted to playing Grateful Dead setlists.
The two bands will perform together Saturday night at the Capitol Theatre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m. Tickets cost between $30 and $500 and are available on the Capitol Theatre's website.
Sunday night Garcia's at the Capitol Theatre will host a live webcast of Phish as the popular jam band plays at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Doors will open for the free webcast at 5 p.m. and the show will start at 10:30 p.m.
