The benefit will raise funds specifically for Charity: Water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. With the help of volunteer Colleen Helmken, three local bands will come together to prove that music can make a difference.
“I see Garcia’s as not just a cornerstone for music, but a vehicle for service,” states Helkmen.
Teddy Midnight, Cousin Earth, and Space Bacon, three frequent players on the Garcia’s stage will donate their time and talents to encourage and inspire the Westchester community to support Nepal through the love of music.
Tickes cost $15 (drink specials to be announced) and the concert will run from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. All ticket proceeds will go entirely to Charity: Water. Information and tickets can be found by visiting www.thecapitoltheatre.com.
