Members of Crimson Rose were just teenagers, too young to drive when they came together, but their talent overshadowed their young age.

A huge career high point came when they performed for the largest crowd ever at Fore n Aft in White Plains, home to the longest running Grateful Dead Night in the country, before Garcia’s DeadCenter.

During this legendary performance, Jorma Kaujonen of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna jumped on stage to join Crimson Rose for a set that will be remembered forever.

Although the group went their separate ways, members Doug Grean, Greg Koerner, Avram Lavinsky and Marc LoPonte have remained highly active in the music scene.

In 2014, the members reunited at Garcia’s to perform for a sold out crowd.

“The guys in the band were blown away by the response of last year’s reunion. The fact that we were the first band ever to sell out Garcia’s in advance is a testament to the popularity of the band during its heyday," Marc LoPonte said. "And we plan to bring that magic back to our fans for this year’s reunion.”

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling Ticketfly at (877)-987-6487, ordering online at www.thecapitoltheatre.com/garcias-list/ or visiting The Capitol Theatre Box Office at 149 Westchester Ave., Monday through Thursday from 2-6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from noon-6 p.m.
