BEACON, N.Y. – Mary E. Sommerville, a longtime Beacon resident, died on Tuesday, Jan.12. She was 85.
Sommerville worked for many years as a seamstress at Crescent Lingerie in Beacon. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim – St. John the Evangelist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Jean Vitanza of Beacon; her sister-in-law, Norma Sommerville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother John Sommerville Jr.; sister, Emma and brother-in-law, Michael Soltish; her sister, Anna and brother-in-law, Arthur Lewis.
