PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Some big acts will perform in Port Chester this weekend when Chicago and Alabama Shakes play at the Capitol Theatre.
Grammy-winning rock band Chicago will play the Cap on Saturday evening. Chicago is the first American band to have a Top 40 hit in five different decades, and among the highest-charting American bands. The band includes original members Robert Lamm on keyboards and vocals, Lee Loughnane on trumpet, James Pankow on trombone and Walt Parazaider on woodwinds, Jason Scheff on bass and vocals, Tris Imboden on drums, Keith Howland on guitar, Lou Pardini on keyboards and vocals and Drew Hester on percussion.
Alabama Shakes, a rock band that was recently nominated for Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Rock Performance, will perform Sunday evening, with opening performances by Jonny Fritz and Houndmouth. Alabama Shakes includes Brittany Howard on lead vocals and guitar, Heath Fogg on guitar, Zac Cockrell on bass, Ben Tanner on keyboard and Steve Johnson on drums.
Doors for both shows open at 6:30 p.m. and the concerts will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $40 to $126. Tickets are available on the Capitol Theatre website .
