Another Rye House location is in New York City. The Port Chester location offers a bar and restaurant on two floors, as well as entertainment.

The building formerly housed Stratmar Systems Inc., a promotional and merchandising provider, and Zemo's men's wear. The building also was formerly used as headquarters for the American Red Cross.

The New York City location promotes its hand-crafted beer, cocktails and lunch and dinner fare.

Anthony Tirone, a lawyer who presented plans for the restaurant along with Michiel Boender to the Port Chester Planning Commission last July, said in a story on WestmoreNews.com that restaurant would have seating for 200. Boender made the application for the restaurant on the behalf of Stratmar Equities, which owns the building.

The restaurant proposed plans to open seven days a week. The plans also include a Sunday brunch.
