Ginghi Clarke, who lives in New Rochelle, said the store gets its name from the word "inspiration," and hopes the unique combination that she and her mom, Mount Vernon resident Janice Harding, have curated will inspire each customer.

The store is a blend of clothes, art, accessories, and consignment borne out of personal tastes and professional expertise.

The artwork, for example, is Harding's. A longtime DIY-er, she used to sew everything from pillows to shawls, selling them at local boutiques and NYC trade shows. Later in life, she got into painting. Down the road, the two plan on bringing in the work of other artists.

As for clothes, expect a classic selection of casual, work and play, with most items individually sewn out of a small design studio in Manhattan. There will also be pieces by Co-Owner Clarke who back in high school designed her own prom dress, as well as those of many of her friends.

Her niche clothing brand features clean, simple design tees for men and women. "My goal is beautiful simplicity in all genres of life," she said.

INSPO is at 144 Fifth Ave., 914-255-3690, www.theinspoboutique.com. An opening party is being held Saturday, May 13 with small bites and wine tasting from 12 to 5 p.m.
